- Hi guys,
-
- since following most of the discussion in the Gem-List-Group I often
- read phrases like "I prefer this SC in my program" or "I always use this
- one in my program". It's great that you guys use them but weather you
- use it or not, sorry but that's my personal opinion, it cannot be the
- way to establish new/old SCs. It seems to me a little bit nerving
- reading this all the time.
-
- Somebody told us he uses CTRL-I for /italic/, CTRL-B for *bold* style in
- his word processor. Besides that I dislike this SCs and prefer this
- commands on the function keys, does he think we'll all change to this
- SCs?
-
- Another example: When argueing one can hit CTRL-A to easy you can also
- argue that you can hit nearly every combination by accident. Often when
- I try to hit the BS key I hit the HELP key. What now? Don't support the
- HELP key because you can hit it to easily?
-
- please do me a favour: Don't go on discussing SCs only with the
- argument "I like it! You too? No? Okay, let me convince you!". I really
- want to follow this standard weather I like all SCs or not. But I don't
- want to follow a questionable discussion about someones' personally
- predilection.
-
- Remark: I don't want to offend anyone. If it seems so please consider
- that my english is not as good as I'd like it to be. I've to look up
- many words in the dictionary to follow the discussion and write
- things down.
-
- Bye FLYNN
